A finalist at “Who Is On Next? 2016”, the EDITHMARCEL brand stems from a collaborative partnership between Gianluca Ferracin e Andrea Masato. This year, the brand returns to Rome to showcase “►PLAY”, its Spring Summer 2019 collection.

The Spring Summer 2019 collection finds its main inspiration in activewear, which today happens to be one of the dominating trends for today's daywear apparel. Activewear attitudes and principles are re-thought, mixed and softened through the brand's DNA distinctive traits: design, materials and contrasting details, genderless lines and refined allure.
The printed faces, which is Edithmarcel's leitmotif, come back for this collection in different pieces, interpreting the icon print following the principles of the activewear prints: faces are reimagined with white outlines or with flat solid colors, graphically recalling the structure and the painted lines of sport fields.
Another recurring element and trait-d'union of the collection is a black circle, realized in heat-sealed rubber-effect material, that plays and interacts with the logo and recalls the sporty-activewear iconic and super recognizable logo imagery.
The two main fabrics used in this collection are lycra, also in a holed version - which is perfectly in line with the technical-sporty inspiration, and crêpe, that belongs to a more refined, sober and elegant imagery. The two fabrics are used alternatively or even together, balancing their presence according to the garment's design.
Jersey, an iridescent thin knit and cotton ribbed knit complete the range of the collection's materials.
Different colors and materials are connected by fabric inlay, and the matching accessories come straight from technical clothes' wardrobe: ribbon zips, drawcords, elasticated bands, adjustable straps. Cuts and necklines recall the silhouettes and fits of sporty tops, while the fitness-inspired fabric is pleated for a chic allure.
The color palette includes green, white, black, light blue, pink, with the shiny touch of the shimmering iridescence of the thin knit fabric.
Since several seasons, Edithmarcel realizes its collections together with companies that work in respect of certified sustainability standards.

Presented its first collection in the agender section “Open" at Pitti88, EDITHMARCEL is selected by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana among 17 international emerging brands for the zero edition of Fashion Hub Market, showing their first collection at Milan Fashion Week in September 2015. Chosen to participate in the project FashionLab (project by Unicredit & CNMI), a program for speedup and continuous support. The brand is also included in the acceleration program and ongoing support FashionLab (project by Unicredit & CNMI). In January 2016, it participates with the collection FW 16/17 to White Trade Show in Milan and is chosen by NotJustALable between 5 international brands to present the collection at New York's Capsule. In 2016 Edithmarcel is among the finalists brand of “Who Is On Next?”, the scouting project for young talents in fashion, designed and created by Alta Roma in collaboration with Vogue Italy and participates to the runway show during Altaroma in July 2016.
